Akim Ernest Continues To Shine
It has been a while since we have heard from Akim Ernest, he has evolved and become a very much public figure at his school. Akim Ernest has been recognized by his school principal Marva Daniel for not only his good work academically but for his contribution to school life.
Akim Ernest started his interest firstly, with the school social presence as early as Form 2, he was made an editor of the schools website, he found he could not have done much and with his vast knowledge in Information Technology, he was given the powers of a full webmaster. He revamped the school social platforms, making it easier for all to get official information from his school Castries Comprehensive Secondary.
His works haven't gone unnoticed, the principal took time to mention very key students of the school, awarding them for their contribution to their school. He was awarded a certificate of dedication and revamping of the schools social platforms. He was also presented with a certificate for organizing and preparing the schools assemblies in the technical field.
He has gone as far as being the Master of Ceremony at various school assemblies. He was given the privilege to welcome Laurence Laurent, First Principal of the Castries Comprehensive Secondary School, Stephenson King, Infrastructure, Ports, Energy and Labour Minister; Marie Legault, High Commissioner of Canada to the Eastern Caribbean and Marva Daniel, Principal of CCSS at an assembly celebrating the schools 45th Year Anniversary. Akim was elated for the role he was given to welcome them, although he admit it was very nerve wrecking at first.
Akim continues to say he wants to leave his legacy at CCSS. Akim has been working on a special video to end the previous Academic Year, as we move into the academic period 2019 - 2020. Recently the principal invited him and Miriam Montoute (Student Of CCSS) to attend the celebration of the 208th Independence of the Bolivarian Republic Of Venezuela, where they stood among the Ambassador for the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Her Excellency, Karia Fermi.
They were then invited to view a painting exhibition of the Venezuelan artist Armando Reveron, entitled: "Reveron, Light of Venezuela."
